Calvin Lim

Managing Director

Calvin co-founded Pacific Equity Group in 2009. As Managing Director, he is responsible for the overall direction and operations of the firm. He has investment experience across a range of real asset classes including residential, office, retail, industrial, shophouse, hospitality and land. He also serves as Chairman (MCST) of several commercial developments in Singapore.

Calvin spend over a decade in central banking & investment banking. He started his career in 1999 with the Monetary Authority of Singapore before joining the project advisory practice in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2002. At PwC, the team acted as financial advisors to governments, multi-lateral agencies and blue chip sponsors in structuring large scale & capital intensive infrastructure projects in Asia such as power & water treatment plants, toll roads, airports and mixed use developments -including the Marina Bay Sands, Resorts World, ITE College West and Sports Hub Stadium. The Sport Hub deal won numerous awards including Deal of the Year by Euromoney and Asia Pacific PPP Deal of the Year by PFI.

Between 2006 –2012, Calvin served as Vice President at the corporate and investment banking (CIB) divisions of both Natixis Bank and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, where he lead teams in executing senior financing in the mining and energy sectors with total deal value of over US$3 billion. He has extensive deal experience in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Australia & New Zealand.

Calvin holds a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Accounting and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Mark Kay

Director

Mark has substantial experience in the Private Equity Real Estate space in Asia and United States with over 10 years of investment experience.

Previously at CFLD, a major township developer, Mark negotiated with the Egyptian and Brunei governments in the structuring of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) model for the horizontal and vertical developments for New Integrated Cities (NICs). In India and the United States, he negotiated with private landowners for various Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) for industrial and township developments. Gross Development Values (GDV) of such deals he has worked on was worth over USD 100 Billion.

Prior to that, Mark was with EVIA Real Estate, a leading private equity real estate firm based in Singapore. Mark successfully executed transactions of over USD 200 Million in South Korea –which was a logistics/retail play leading to the acquisition of 2 dry warehouses, 1 cold storage warehouse and 1 shopping mall.

Originally based in New York, Mark managed over USD 5 Billion of private equity portfolio for the private equity giant –Blackstone LLP. Mark started his career at the financial services arm of Ernst & Young.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and is also a Director at Two Points Ventures (venture capital fund) as well as Kay Capital (private equity fund).

Peck Choon Heng

Advisory Board Member

Choon Heng has over 20 years of experience in real estate construction and development.He is well-versed in architectural and M&E design management practices, especially in high-end residential projects.Choon Heng has successfully team lead and executed (full project cycle from conceptualisation to handing over) numerous residential, industrial & mixed-use projects in Singapore, Malaysia & Vietnam on behalf of well-respected international developers.

Previously with developer giant Hong Kong Land, Choon Heng was the Project Director for The Nassim, a 238-unit high-end residential development in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.From 2012 to 2015, he was the project manager of several prestigious residential and industrial projects for Far East Organisation, among the largest of developers in Singapore. A selection of these projects are the 383-unit Silversea (residential, 20,000 sqmplot, 15,000 sqmlandscape area, construction cost S$230M); the 280-unit Altez(residential, construction cost S$230M); the 144-unit Westcom(Industrial, construction cost S$60M); and the 99-unit Index (Industrial, construction cost S$80M).Choon Heng has also completed several developments in Malaysia including the 225-unit Sunrise Villa and the 77-unit AffinaBay.

Choon Heng holds a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and is a Profession Engineer -qualified by the Singapore Professional Engineer Board.

Ignatius Lee

Investment Analyst

Ignatius joined Pacific Equity Group in 2017 and currently undertakes the role of an investment analyst.

Prior to his current position, Ignatius has experience in fund management and equities research in Daiwa Asset Management where he prepared financial analysis and company valuation reports for equity portfolio construction. On top of that, he has experience in various industry sectors in Asia Pacific.

Ignatius has also worked with small and medium enterprises (SME’s) at KPMG where he was part of the advisory team that provided evaluation and solutions to business models, liquidity, risk management and governance practices.

Ignatius holds a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Singapore and is based in Singapore. He has an active interest in golf, bowling and reading.

Yaning Liu

Funds Administration Analyst

Yaning joined Pacific Equity Group in 2017 and currently undertakes the role of a fund administration analyst.

Prior to her current position, she was working at FDF Asset Management, in which she has experience in investment management and produced research reports on different industries and securities.

Yaning has experience in the Mergers & Acquisition sector where she performed industry analysis and evaluation of company’s financial health, during her tenure at Deloitte & Touche. She has also worked with the Financial Services Assurance team in PricewaterhouseCoopers, performed analytical procedures and carried out fraud risk testing.

Yaning holds a Bachelor (First-class Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Singapore and is based in Singapore.
